Sense of Pride

Well, I always have this sense of pride for being an Ipohite. Hehehe
It's well known for its food haven recognition, magnificent view of limestones surrounding the city, and for its well known talent breed ground with many famous people belonging to this very land all called home.
But some say its a dead town, its only meant for retirees and old folks.

Nevertheless of late, you can see Ipoh's booming developments, many projects are taking place, food franchises keep coming in namely Domino's Pizza, A&W, Burger King,Wong Kok, crowd of people swarming into almost every eating outlets, shopping malls, cinemas, sometimes even on weekdays =.=", traffic jams almost a common scene in most parts of the city, more night clubs are opening.
So yeah, says who Ipoh's dead?!!

Besides, Ipoh has produced many household brand names such as....

"Sao mak fah sang" LOL.
Ngan Yin/Cap Tangan groundnuts
founded since 1975
from Menglembu

Old Town Coffee
It's always Ipoh = White Coffee

The origin of Old Town White Coffee...
Nam Heong Coffee Shop
the most genuine white coffee you can ever get in Ipoh since 1958
Grandpa's and my favourite hangout for breakfast. XD
Not to mention many other famous food you can hardly get anywhere else, besides Penang la, which i think it's Ipoh's rival for food haven. XD
Always feel how blessed i am to be born here, having been fed with good food while growing up here whereas people from outside dying to stop by for the food here traveling all the way from afar. But i eat dou mm eat lor (eat until i don't feel like eating sometimes) haha...
Okay, okay, too sombong dy the way i write until.. Hehe...
Nehmind nehmind (nevermind)...
moving on...

Meanwhile, talking about famous people...
The famous Ipohites are...

Michael Wong (光良)
Taiwan based singer/composer
Used to see his parents at Nam Heong, heard he'd be back for Christmas usually attending St Michael's Church Christmas mass, wonder if i would be seeing him this year since I'm performing for Christmas there. XD
From SMK Sam Tet

Michelle Yeoh
Miss Malaysia World 1983, well known of her martial arts stunts, former Bond girl, one of the most successful Hollywood's Asian stars (highest paid female action star ever), voted as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World by People Mag in 1997.
Having her name on Hollywood Walk of Fame and her wax figure erected in Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong can't make us anymore prouder.
Used to bump into her around in town, very down to earth and nicest personality i've ever seen in a superstar like her. Kudos!
From SMK Main Convent

She must be a common face you always see on TV or big screen especially if you watch TVB drama series.
Zhu Mi Mi (朱咪咪)
a veteren actress in Hong Kong TVB
Love watching her coz she's funny shit!! XD
She just came back here last few weeks ago, raising fund for her alma mater
From SMJK Yuk Choy

Angie Cheung Wai Yee (張慧儀)
Another familiar face from Hong Kong TVB
Former beauty queen, Miss Chinese International Malaysia 1992
If you don't recall her face coz she has been out of the industry scene for quite a long time after suffering from domestic violence from her ex-hubby, then recall Journey to the West (西游记) as she portrayed as the Spider Spirit (Ji Zhu Jing) in Part I and Snake Spirit (Sheh Jing) in Part II
Not so sure about her education background though, but her huge bungalow is just nearby my house area only.. hehe... her sister gets spotted shopping around sometimes.
As Snake Spirit in Journey to the West II, remember mou???

Amber Chia
Malaysia very first Supermodel, finalist for Guess Watch's brand ambassador Contest
Was born in Ipoh but later raised in Sabah
But still part of Ipoh right?
Still an Ipohite right? XP

Ok lar, lazy to post anymore... Hehe, i think that's all
Still got many more, but they're not really that well known...
Amazing right? Who would have known so many talented and beautiful famous people all belong to this very land. So Ipoh's rocks!!! Not so dead i tell you...
So yeah, this post may be seen too egoistic/sombong/berlagak in writing, but heck cares,
Sense of Pride marrrrr

P/S: Due to some HTML error, this post looks rather dull. No colours and bold/enlarged wordings.. Due to my time constraint for i have my thesis to write, i shall leave it just as it is.. Millions of apologies.. XP

These... are your NEW American Idol Judges

This year's American Idol has added two new faces in its panel of judges, switching back to the number of 3 in the panel after the departures of Simon Cowell, Ellen Degeneres and Kara Diguardi.

The show begins its first audition this month with Randy Jackson, still remaining as one of the panel judges; the only original judge still kept in the seat since its first season debut after Paula Abdul's and Simon's departure.

Jennifer Lopez, after so much long of speculation of her getting the deal with Fox, it's now confirmed she's part of the Idol's family begining this season.
Aiya, why i sounded so formal like that..
Let me be more informal... XD
This woman ar... diva lor.. Hmm, dont really like her songs ler anyway..
She seemed to have no talent in singing to me lor, if you realised most of her songs with repeating phrases, potentially annoying. No wonder she got dropped by her former recording label Sony Music Group.
But perhaps a good performer though heh, since she never fails to show off her booties boobies be it on stage or in her MVs. So who cares if she can sing... XP
Sexay moves babey~~
Dont be fooled by the rocks that i got~
I'm still, i'm still Jenny from the block~

And lastly,
.
.
.
.
.
here you are...
Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith front singer...
Remember the very good song most of us never fail to pick for shouting and yelling our lungs out in Karaoke sessions??? Yes, that's it, "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", that damn song...
Ooo, see that pair of Angie Jolie's lips??
Wonder if that give him the ability of being sharp-toungue like Simon.
Or could it be less "dangerous"?? Hmmm...

Despite me getting really bored with Idol since last season (the worst ever), but im now curious and giving it a chance for this season. Hopefully this year's not going to put me down. Am excited to see how these newbies in the panel work it out. Some drama in it would be much better.. hehe...

Babies from the 80's and 90's

While browsing through youtube the other day,
I came across this childhood cartoon i missed so much,

You babies from the 80's and 90's bet share the same thoughts huh??
.
.
.
"The Little Lulu Show"
.
.
LOL
There you go...

This is the older version.....

From there i've even found so many of my favourite cartoons during my childhood.
Im so missing those times...
after school hours and homeworks done, it'd be TV time!!!

Let's see if you guys shared the same favs cartoons heh?!!! XD

Nah, see ar...
wait...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Bet many of you do not remember there's this cartoon version of
"Ultraman Kids"

And also this,
"Ultraman Joe", if im not mistaken...

This is the very first Ultraman series i've ever watched...
"Ultraman Ace"... Hehe, sounds so kiddy... XP
It was the very first Ultraman series ever introduced on Malaysian TV i guess.....

Then horh, still got a lot wan...
Wait...
Wait.....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Remember "TomatoMan"?? LOL...

Couldn't find the full episode of it though
This is the ending part...
The song sounds so funny to me listening to it now as im older...
"Tomatotomato, Tomato-mato~ Tomatotomato, Tomato-mato~"
LOL
Didn't know why i could sing along with it when i was young...
Malunya when think of it... >.<

Before even there was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,
there were already similar ones on TV actually,
but it was Japanese versions, not
Ang Moh version
like...
"Flashman" ...Sounds like flasher huh? XD

And...
"Maskman"...

And one more,
"Cybercops"

These are the only Japanese cartoons/anime i watched...
Now, i just cant get addicted to the current Japanese Anime anymore, god knows why...
like "Bleach" etc...

Moving on to the American cartoons back again,
like "The Smurfs"
Oh gosh, i lurrrve Smurfs...
The tiny version of blue creatures from Avatar? XD

"Carebears"!! XD The bears that shoot "stars" and "clouds" from their chest..
LOL...
Ok, sounds retarded to some of you?! XD

"Felix the Cat"...

"Mighty Mouse"..... The mouse version of superman...

"Woody Woodpecker Show"...
recall the famous trademark laughter from woody...

"Yabadabadoooooo........
Flinstones, meet the Flinstones,~
they're modern stone age family~"
"Flinstones" is another all time favourite, especially the christmas special ones were nice.. XD

"ThunderCats"

"Captain Planet", the superhero guy whom called upon by the ring...

The first "X-Men" animation...

And lotsa lotsa more like "Looney Tunes" cartoons, "Tom & Jerry", "The Casper" the baby ghost, "Doraemon" the series, etc...
And "The Simpsons", i used to be watching it since very young too...

Prefer the old cartoons than of today's ones...
They looked more "authentic", or cartoon-ish.... unlike the ones we are having today looked 3D-like, so real that you would rather watch it with real-persons acting in it better.
=.=
Ok, this perhaps is the sign of aging in me... Geez...
Seems like my age shows now....

So, peeps, do share your favourites here too ya, drop a comment or two...

~MIA~

Take me back in the arms I love
Need me like you did before
Touch me once again
And remember when
There was no one that you wanted more

I'll be waiting for you
Here inside my heart
I'm the one who wants to love you more
You will see I can give you
Everything you need
Let me be the one to love you more

Some way all the love that we had can be saved
Whatever it takes we'll find a way

Believe in me
I will make you see
All the things that your heart needs to know

I'll be waiting for you
Here inside my heart
I'm the one who wants to love you more
You will see I can give you
Everything you need
Let me be the one to love you more

Sorry peeps for the very long MIA...
As time goes by,
Workloads are piling up
more and more and more,
the stress and tense are in the air,
Not to mention,
Many things had just happened around,
No doubt,
I've learnt a lot
through these experiences,
An eye opener indeed,
Sometimes I just wish all those things
had not happened,
Things changed,
people changed,
So must i,
to be a tougher person
rather an adaptation to these new situations
to face and tackle these changes / challenges around me.

As usual, tests/assignments/reports marathon has just begun
Chiaoz~

Time Really Flies horh?

Exams over~!!!
Hence, spent 5 Days in KL~ ^_^

~Hello Kuala Lumpur~

Day 1:

Met up with ~B~,

then Edan...

Shopped at Pavilion

Went for Ip Man 2. I think it’s a lot nicer than Ironman... Ironman is just lack of action pack and kinda expected with the typical storyline, i guess.

Then, James, Edan and I then headed to TGI Fridays for dinner...

At TGI with Edan and James

Day 2:

Went to Batu Caves since ~B~ was so eager to visit

Thanks to Edan for bringing us around
A lot of photos been snapped there

Batu Caves (we did climb all the way up the staircase)
Was so steep that i felt like falling down the 200+ steps.. =.=

After the exhaustion, we had lunch at Madam Kwan’s before meeting up with Daren, the long-time-no-gossip-buddy

Had Nando’s at Mid Valley before strolling around all the way from MidValley to The Gardens and back to MidValley again and to Gardens again to finally settled down to have some dessert

Durian Cendol
Recommended by ~da Foxy~ Not bad not bad... 4/5 rated

Had dinner with ~B~ at Jalan Alor
So many stalls that we finally decided to make a stop at this shop... (tak tau the nama lar)

The shop we stopped at~
Very nice~
Love the belacan grilled fish~

Then headed to GreenBox with ~B~ till 1+am. Gosh... could hardly find our way out then, the whole Sungei Wang was in darkness and emptiness that we thought we were in some zombie movie scene.. >,<

Went back to Jalan Alor for chicken wings for supper.. XD

Oh, by the way, it was already 16th May, our first anniversary.. >_<>

Day3:

Woke up late, so had a brunch with ~B~ at Gasoline at Times Square
Had a haircut there later on

As usual, nothing else to do when you’re in a shopping mall besides eating/yum cha there,
we wander around and window shopping before sending ~B~ back to Singapore... : (

Then mai catch up with Mr Kenson Kwee, another gossip/bitching buddy of mine, at Pavilion.

Banyak membabisai punya Kenson

Then had lunch...or dinner? Tea?
Nevermind, had our meal at Wong Kok Restaurant

While enjoying the meal, as usual, catching up with each other side of stories, crapping, etc are what we would be doing all the time.

Later in late evening, went to mua buddy “Foxy’s” place

The Foxy i meant
(another one suka membabisai)

Just before that we went to KFC trying out the new Black Pepper Chicken..
Guess what, that would be my first and last time taking them...
Still prefer the classic spicy ones..

There was the first time meeting Aaron Keefer, Daren’s Keefer’s cousie

Aaron

Ahhh~~!!! The two Keefers i tell you... Can get all crazy and crap a lot, talk non-stop like nobody’s business!! Sometimes till my cheekbones in pain for laughing the whole session with them...
~Wild Bitches~ XD

Once back to Daren’s place,
there again we had another non-stop chatter throughout the whole night till we ZZzzzzz...

Day 4:

Had brunch with the Fox nearby before back to the “Foxy Cave”.

I just love the dogs around his house...
as i’ve always wanted to have dogs too in my own house but parents don’t let
lor. They’d seem to make your house livelier...
how nice
huh~

Sien Sien dei in daytime
So,
resorted to have this
homemade Milo Iceblended XD

Nothing much lor, chit chat, talk talk, every now and then, play Xbox 360, till in the evening again we went out with Aaron to Momo, a Japanese Steamboat i guess...?

Momo Steamboat

Together we crap again,
till 3-hours long that anyone of us could hardly notice the time pass that quick.

Then, balik rumah, tidur lor

~The Fox Cave~

~The Fox in the Cave~ LOL

Day 5:

Had this famous Ban Mee with the “Wild Bitch Fox” that he claimed use to had it since schooling time. Nice ah~ Not bad not bad... Hmmm...I’d give it 4.5/5.

This is the other recommendation,
just okok la~

Oh, during the day,
he got a call from MAS that he’s been accepted in the air cabin crew training soon... Cool~ Finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for has come...
Congrats~~
*I want free/rebate air ticket from you next time~~* XD

Then horh, we got back home and watch Mi Love Concert DVD and her interview videos. Arrrrhhh~ our all time fav idol~!!!

Then arh? Meeting Aaron again lor, for a short session of yum cha at Old Town Kopitiam
before i was sent to KTM heading back to Ipoh...

So there.....

...there goes the 5 days that i’ve been waiting for since the day i locked up myself in Kampar, flipping through my notes, pulling my hair every now and then in stress.

Looking back then and seeing what im doing now really makes me feel time is ticking like nobody’s business...
Time really flies

And im gonna say hello to my new semester already in barely 2weeks to go...

So fast for what~!!!
