On the shooting set

Well, before i begin, let me intoduce one of Malaysia's most critically-acclaimed film director, Yasmin Ahmad who's famous for her past multi-award winning productions. She is also well known for her creative television commercials in the country such as her ads for Petronas, the national oil and gas company in conjunction with the National Day. To name a few of her highly-acclaimed movies to date are :

• Rabun (My Falling Eyesight) 2003
• Sepet (Chinese Eye) 2004
• Gubra (Anxiety) 2006
• Mukhsin 2007
• Muallaf (The Convert) 2008
• Tallentime (March/April 2009)

These are the films that have won multiple international awards and praises from local and international critics. Most of them have been screened at various international film festivals particularly in Berlin, San Francisco, Cannes & Singapore.

I paricularly love Sepet. Mind you, most of her films are all shot mostly in Ipoh!!! & St. Michael's is one of her shooting location for Sepet and....Gubra (i guess).

To be precise, the shooting takes place at the Old Town of Ipoh.

For those who has no a single idea of who she is...she is one of the uprising HK TVB star. She was a beauty queen before joining in showbiz (Miss Chinese Vancouver).

Before this i swear i hated her like cow dung, hated to see her acting.. I remember it's always driving me mad everytime seeing her. But over the years she has improved a lot. Yes, a big leap she did.. I was quite surprised that she could act so well when i watched Heart of Greed & Moonlight Resonance compared back to 2 years then. It's amazing to believe that one whom greatly criticising & complaining of her before this can eventually fall in love with her now...

Worth your every single penny if you like romance and vampires... But warning to those who expect it to be those kind of bloody man eating scenes throughout the shows...you're so damn wrong...It's no odinary vampire kinda show... It's more like a love story between a mortal and a vampire. Of course there were some fighting actions in there.. To sum it up, go catch it!! I thought it was cool. i now just cant wait to catch the sequel which is called New Moon...

Anyway, in Twilight there are some scenes being edited in Malaysian cinemas. As what i got to know from Willy, there was the tree top scene where Edward and Bella were kissing. He watched it in Taiwan. But there is no such scene in Malaysian cinemas. God Damn It!!! It was just a kissing scene ok!!! Go get a life Malaysia Censorship Board!!!!!Besides that scene, i believe there is another scene which has also been edited out because it was very obvious.

Malaysian government, why not just bar us from goin to those western countries where people are kissing openly in public if you think watching people kissing is obscene and can corrupt our mind?!! Totally Brainless!!!

Oh yea...Has anyone seen the smiley face in the sky that night? Em, 1st Dec that night.It was said it's such a rare occurence. I got a call from Mee Sim from KL that night and she was like, "Look at the sky now, what do you see?" & at that moment i thought there's an UFO or some asteroids gonna hit on us!!!hahahah, then i spotted a moon and 2 stars in the clear sky. Thank god it wasnt cloudy in Ipoh as I know Penang was all cloudy coz none of my Penang friends could see it. The crescent moon like the mouth and 2 bright tiny star-like objects above it like a pair of eyes. The 2 star like thingy are actually the Jupiter & Venus. It is said to be only occuring once in every 5 years? & sometime later it will form a sad face in the US as it claimed. But surely it's rare to see a smiley face fromed in the sky in the evening. See that?? >>>>

Geez...have you encountered a situation when you realised you have no enough cash to pay for your stuffs right at the face of the cashier? This just happened to me today...Oh boy, what an embarassment. I was at pdi browsing for clothes then i got my choices and headed to the counter to pay.

& then i was like "holy shit, i don't have enough money in my wallet. There was only 20bucks left!!Gee...Luckily i have my ATM card in my wallet...I was like "em, sorry, could you wait for me a second?" to the cashier. "I'll be back in 5". She(the cashier) was like "er, ok..." Quickly i ran to the nearby ATM machine and got my enough of cash and rushed back to the store. Noticed some of the staffs were looking at me like one kind. Geez...like i care?!!(act tough, lolz) In the end, i got a pair of white shorts which i have been longing for. ^^

& that day itself, with my brother, i've catched.

Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa. It was one heck of a funny show. It's recommended to those who wish to have a good 89minutes of laughter throughout the show.

After So Long.....Not That Long Neway...

It has been ages i have not been blogging..^^

because i hardly have time for it after since i worked...damn it...taken up all my time..my whole last month was all about working from noon to 11pm everyday except tuesday, my off day, then back home sleep till the next afternoon and back to work again and i would be sitting there alone reading books, mags, comics, play hp, sometimes brought along my lappy dota-ing there...yea, that's my job routine...lol.And i got paid for that!!anyway, i quit that job last week.....

Em these are the pics during the launching at my work place...yea, Datuk Michelle Yeoh came as i blogged earlier...

Quite an experience thorughout the working time there. Learnt a lot. In fact i could see how the rich ones live their life. Yes, have met many datuks datuks datins datins there. Learnt how to deal with the rich people and also ang moh (quite a numbers of westerners & a few were my customers who just bought a penthouse!!) Gees, some are humble & some are fcuking snobbish & arrogant coz they think they hav bloody hell much of money, so what?!! Some were so nice even belanja me makan. & for that my friends said i have potential to become like those young men whom are kept as pets by those "lou foot-tai-tai" (rich ladies aka datin datins). Ish, shut up, im not!! It's because im a nice person to talk to ok!! lolz...

But there was a lady whom i have spoken to, who came to my workplace (Tin Gallery) 3 times, she was so nice talking to me and we had a brief chatting everytime she comes, with her British accent; well she's a British anyway. And in our last conversation only i knew she is actually a specialist doctor in London, she came here for a vacation. I was stunned, i couldnt believe all this while i have been chatting with a specialist doctor from UK. Im now feeling regret for not taking her contact be it email or phone number should i have the chance to be in London, i would have some friends there although i have relatives in London by the way. Dr. Luna, if you so happen to read this, give me a nudge..lol...which it's so not gonna happen...silly me. She had some advises for me before she left and wish me all the best in my future bla bla bla.....

Hmm, so, it wasnt that bad working there, though it was so short a period of time , a month, but it's tiring!!! But it's worth it & now i've 2 months plus to go before my next sem!!

On Monday Night.....

We drove all the way to Ipoh TGV again from Kampar to catch a movie.It was th new version of Halloween, by Rob Zombie. So many scenes of horrifying brutal murder in the show, i would kindly advise to those who has faint hearted not to go for this show. At first you will feel sick and disturbed by the scenes. There were some censored parts. I believe those could be even worse.

It is about a troubled little 10 year old child who got disturbed for being brought up in a dysfunctional family that led him one day killed all his family members in a horrific and merciless way except his mother whom loves him so much. Later on, his mother killed herself for not being able to accept the fact that her child is insane. Some 15 years later, this child still has not been healed although being in assylum and treated by a psychiatrist for 15years until the psychiatrist gave up on him. The story proceeds with more and more brutal murders when this grown up psycho kid broke free from the assylum. He killed almost everybody who's in his way.He is actually back for his sister whom was just a baby he did not kill 15years ago.The rest you oughta watch for yourself.

Ok no more spoiler here.But i find that show quite ridiculous in some parts. It makes the show look stupid. Illias pun tak boleh tahan. Keep mumbling and grumbling next to me "climb up la" , "shoot la" , "run la" , "stupid" , "yor,why all girls are so stupid one!" all the way towards the end of the show. hahahaha. gee.....cant imagine how stupid some parts of the show can be. really ridiculous. the huge-size murderer is so invulnerable that so many firegun shot at him and stabs being stabbed, yet he can still be so strong and keep on hunting for his victims. Yes, it sounds like the Incredible Hulk some sort but afterall he's only a human being. Doesnt make sense.

Well, after the show, it was goin to 11pm. 4 of us went ahead to Metro Ipoh behind Jusco for supper, yes, 4 only, without Fiona this time (f5-1?). fiona, you should have come with us la.....sigh...we felt incomplete la. haha, but we took the opportunity to tease at you at times. wuahahaha. Tze Tzu.....

Our supper comprises of our breakfast,lunch and dinner.All at once!!since 4 of us did not take any meals for the whole day. Starving like mad!!

It's gonna be a hard one, coz the two are from totally different genres...A rocker and another ballad singer...So, who will win? Keep the final say till we see how the two performed on that very history-making night!No doubt recording deals are just at the doorsteps for both of them now no matter who wins...

Idol Fever

Okay..see that?im sure whoever has a tv at home would have known this show pretty well...some might go "ah...boring..sick with it, (concerning the show has been running for 7th season now!)" or some couldnt be bothered or some might just stick their a**, er no need to be decent la okay, stick their ass tight on their seat and start reading this. Oh man, im gonna tell you, im a HUGE HUGE fan of this show ever since its 3rd season being shown in malaysia & i've never missed a single episode!!! Well, i did catch up with the 1st two season though on the internet. Before anything yet, gotta tell ya, im an Idol addict/freak that somebody would call me, there's no way to shut my attention off when there's any topic of idol going on.Sometimes i'd bugged my friends and talked about it till the whole season ends and this keeps repeating season after season..haha. Sorry buddies...





So, this season of 7th has gone down to 3 contestants. From 5 of my early top favourite ones have now gone to 2 that made up the current Top3...Take a look.....

Sadly Carly and Brooke got the boot earlier than they should. Darn!! It's said there's a group of people call Vote For The Worst who has nothing better in their life that they pick the worst ones and trying to get them to the top or possibly to be crowned with the title...gosh!!Get a life!!! They are killing people's dreams!!



At least there was a sign of relief that Jason Castro got voted off last week,finally.



Liked him when he belted out the song "hallelujah" but later on he didnt seem good enough at all.Not even deserved to be in the Top4 spot...He was sorta annoying & got me into nerves when the time you could see him laughing, smiling and smirking like nobody's business behind once was Carly and another was Brooke while they were belting out their farewell performances. C'mon, how could he do that?! where the rest of the remaining contestants were not to be seen smiling or smirking like a jerk, at least act it out, keep the joy to yourself...






Seeing last week's show and a few before, Syesha Mecardo

actually seemed deserving the title, if given her in any of the past seasons, she could potentially be the winner, but too bad as she has to face the Davids in this season; David Cook, the one that i think the most talented & boldest of all of the others in the Idol history for he altered & modified any songs that make into his own! Namely Hello by Lionel Richie, Billie Jeans by Chris Cornell, Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey. It takes a lot of guts to do so...& of course talent...whereas David Archuleta seemed to have captured a lot of hearts ever since his early sparkle during the workshop when he sang Imagine that touched hearts (my cousin was almost in tears & i was so into the depth of the song while he belted it out). Frankly, this year's bunch of talents are actually a lot better off than the previous ones i guess (except for 1 or 2), something special in every each of them.well, i think Jason's not bad though but not to the extent of reaching top4 spot..cant wait for this week's...
